IDC Keynote: The AI Pivot – Strategies for CIOs in Asia Pacific
IDC predicts that AI will have a cumulative economic impact of about 20 trillion USD in the next 5 years. This is the size of the current US economy today. Navigating this huge but fast moving transition will be difficult for CIOs looking for AI in general and GenAI in particular to deliver efficiency and productivity gains, and increasingly greater innovation and new business models. Dr. Chris Marshall, lead for IDC’s AI and Industry research in Asia will discuss where regional organizations are in their AI journey, what they are struggling with, and how their challenges can be overcome. He will also some new issues, less urgent but no less important that CIOs will have to address – such as the rise of AI factories and reasoning AI agents.
