Eren is a seasoned analyst with 20+ years of experience in the ICT sector. He directs all IDC ICT research and consulting engagements in Türkiye, and all sustainability research and consulting projects across the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META).
Based in Istanbul, Eren has been involved in projects ranging from market forecasts to strategic consulting engagements on market entry, competitive analysis, go-to-market strategies, technology marketing, and end-user studies. Eren’s vast experience in the IT services, cloud, software, and telecommunications domains helps IDC clients understand the impact of technology-enabled, sustainable transformation processes in the context of sustainable digital business strategies, operations, products, and services. In addition to his research and consulting activities, Eren is a speaker at industry events.
Prior to joining IDC in 2017, Eren spent more than a decade in IT industry roles spanning portfolio management, channel and business development, pricing, and software development at companies including Turk Telekom and TAI.
Eren earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering and an MBA focused on technology road mapping for strategy and innovation, both from Middle East Technical University. He received a master of science in information systems, with a thesis on modeling mobile telecommunications services, from Middle East Technical University. During his academic endeavors, he studied for one semester at the University of Copenhagen, and for one semester at Harvard University. He is pursuing a marketing PhD focused on sustainability.

Gökhanalp Arslan graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1997 and completed his MBA programme at Hacettepe University, Institute of Social Sciences between 2001-2003. He completed Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programme at Koç University.
In 1997, Mr Arslan joined İşbank as a software specialist and worked as a solution architect and technical leader in the core banking and capital markets areas of İşbank Group and its subsidiaries between 2000 and 2010.
In 2010, Mr Arslan switched to a full-time data analytics role and held various leadership positions in data warehouse management between 2010 and 2013 and business intelligence management between 2013 and 2016. Between 2017 and 2020, he served as the Analytical Applications Unit Manager.
With more than fifteen years of experience in data analytics and artificial intelligence, Arslan is currently leading İşbank’s artificial intelligence transformation as the Division Head of Artifical Intelligence

Between 1996 and 1998, he worked as a software engineer at Bisan A.Ş., which manufactures Peugeot and Bisan brands. Joining Kale Group in 1999, Murat Erez worked as Software Development Supervisor, Assistant Software Development Manager and Business Applications Manager before being appointed as Kale Group IT Department Head in 2017.

Savaş Ergen graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Computer Engineering in 1997. After graduating from the university, he started to work as a practitioner in Çanakkale Seramik Information Technologies Department. In 2004, he started to work at HSBC Turkey and worked in the System Architecture team first as a senior specialist and then as a Unit Manager until the end of 2013. He played a significant role in establishing the Artificial Intelligence Institute at TUBITAK BILGEM, and was involved in creating Turkey’s artificial intelligence strategic vision. Dr. Haklıdır is a member of the OECD One AI Expert Group, the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI), and the Artificial Intelligence Technologies Roadmap Advisory Board of the Council of Science, Technology and Innovation Policies. He continues his research in artificial intelligence, big data, and robotics. Throughout his career, he has presented at various national and international congresses and scientific conferences and published articles in international scientific journals indexed by SCI. Dr. Haklıdır has received national and international awards from different organizations. Currently, Dr. Haklıdır is Director of Artificial Intelligence Institute at TUBITAK BILGEM.
